Growing up in Japan, the concept of “en” (縁) was woven into daily life—even in business. Rooted in Eastern philosophy, en refers to the meaningful encounters we have with people and things—believed to be guided not just by chance, but by fate or a greater force. In Japan, people express gratitude for the en that brings us together, and we treat those connections with care, respect, and intention. When I moved to Hawai‘i, I found a kindred spirit in the culture here. That same philosophy shapes the work we do at INFINITE OCEAN. Our logo embodies the meaning of en—a circle, symbolizing connection—and reflects our belief that even the most remote islands are linked to the world by an infinite ocean.
